Protein pancakes
My series on protein-rich foods continues. This theme stems from my own wellness project with a personal trainer, during which I’ve been focusing more actively than before on ensuring an adequate protein intake. I’ve come up with some easy, delicious, and protein-packed breakfast ideas to give myself a real boost first thing in the morning.
This tasty breakfast is high in protein, keeps you full for a long time, and feels like a touch of luxury in the midst of everyday life.
Ingredients
75 g protein pancake mix
Approx. 1 dl water
Toppings
50 g Arla protein quark (vanilla)
10 g Star Nutrition Whey-100 protein powder (vanilla)
7 g Sukrin syrup, Maple Syrup flavour
20 g raspberries
Preparation
Mix the protein pancake mix with the water. I use about 1 dl of water for this batch. The batter should be quite thick—definitely not too runny. I whisk it until smooth using a small whisk.
Cook the pancakes in a non-stick pan so that no fat is needed for frying.
Mix the vanilla quark with the protein powder.
Enjoy the pancakes topped with the vanilla quark, syrup, and raspberries.
